Have not taken meds since I was 16, but I remember how bad they made me feel. I have been trying to get pregnant for a while now, so I will not take meds.

It certainly helped me to sleep through the night, however I gained 80 pounds in one year on this medication. It got me through a difficult recovery after a surgery and I became much better over that time.

helps you go in to the deep sleep that is needed so that you dont wake up feeling lke you have not been to bed

Helps with sleep but leaves me very groggy.

I use to take elavil several yrs ago but was taken off it when I had a heart attack. It did help.

took it for migraines. worked well but gained a lot of weight. Had to stop taking it for that reason.

20 mg at bedtime.I love it for the pain so far! I didnt want to take this med because of the side effects I read about so I didnt start taking it until three weeks ago mid June. I WISH I STARTED IT EARLIER!! Within a week and a half my bladder and urethral pain had been reduced by at least 75%. I do find I have a slightly weaker stream of urine but I am emptying my bladder better because I am not feeling that terrible burning which triggers my spasms. I am also sleeping better!

Originally started on Elavil for chronic headaches but was also taken off Prozac while trying it for 2 months. I was on an extremely high dose and noticed nothing for either problem. Depression worsened but I am certain that was the lack of a drug that was actually doing it's job to balance.
