School is always helpful but I worry as she transitions to Jr. High that things will get more difficult

I have a bachelor's degree in family relations & human development and am currently working on my Master's degree. I try to read the latest on parenting issues, but don't always have the time to read for "pleasure". I have tried different parenting techniques in which some have worked and some have failed miserably. The important thing is for my husband and I to have folllow-through in what we do.

He went to preschool for the first time this year. It helped in lots of ways, as it was the first time that he was around other kids his age, other than one, and had to learn to share and play interactively, along with doing what he was told. He did pick up some bad habits from the other kids as well though. But I can deal with that from all the good that came out of it.

My daughter has been in daycare since she was 8 months old. We have had some ups and downs. But, I think the socialization skills she has learned by being around other children her age are priceless. And, I hope they will help her when she starts Kindergarten this fall.
