Preschool worked wonders for Joe-Joe. He came out of his shell and learned much.
He started pre-K at 3 years of age and thrives. He attended a Montessori school. I moved to a different school district and a slot has not opened up, so I am home schooling him with the daily help from his former teacher.
We do preschool worksheets and I'm slowly getting the abc jesus loves me curriculum together for her.
He attends a school that his mother enrolled him in. I have a rapport with his teacher. He is making progress.
Working / Worked
School is an ongoing struggle, but staying in contact with teachers really helps.
The schools try to provide a structure that enables kids to communicate and learn from their mistakes but their is to many kids and not enough money for that system to be 100% effective.
He was a sheltered child, raised in private school from head start (2 years old) until 3rd grade and I was forced to put him in public school which was pretty bad. Now he's in a better public school in the county and he's not bullied now, but his organizational skills are still lacking and things are getting better with his social skills.
She has been in private school since she was two and she is really advanced but thats causing behavior problems
Girls are currently attending preschool. We just completed Mommy and Me and will start unaccompanied school in 2 weeks. I do not know how this will go.
Working in a school environment, with multiple age-groups has helped me see social behaviors first-hand, and has helped me be more understanding with my own children.
