We have an amazing ASD specialist working with our son and his special ed teacher and Kindergarten teacher. This ASD specialist knows what she is doing and she works for the Willamette Education Services District. Right now she is evaluating him and getting to know him. We had an Occupational Health evaluation done recently at an OT office that revealed his disorders and gave a more clear diagnosis to what we always knew to be his "quirkiness" is now known as Autism.

When our childrens doctor did not take our concerns seriously I contacted ECI and they were wonderful they helped my son with some of his speech issues and were instrumental in getting my daughter home therapy services.

he now uses some sign language to communicate

At 2 he had not said mama or dada and we were scared i called the school district and the set up to come to the house it was amazing by the time he started pre-scool at age 3 he could at least let you know what he wanted and that he was mad without baby tactics, but the best was i love you at first he just signed it then after a while the words came I will never forget

have only been working with E.C.I. since Feb. Have not seen much difference/improvement. yet.
