EM rash June 08 - 10 days doxy
Symptoms persists
Returned with symptoms again -- prescribed Doxy for six weeks. 100 MB 2x a day.
Doxy increased on Oct 8 to 400 MG 1x a day.
It worked well in high doses, but unfortunately, my stomach rebeled. So I switched to doryx. Tablet form of doxy 300 mgs a day. Not working as well as the 400 mgs. But will ask if I can try to increase it gradually.

I had a hard time tolerating the medicine. I threw up quite a bit and it was hard to go to work. I did get some relief with my aching and joint pain while on the treatment. Now that I have finished I am experiencing these symptoms 2 fold.

ID doc had my son and girlfriend on this for 6 months--during that time he would have very small infection sites about once every month, and as soon as he quit taking Doxy, he got a couple boils, but not as bad as they used to be. That's when doc decided to go to Bactrim next.

I dont think it is the 100 mg is strong enough. No real side effects.

Doxy has made the really bad days a little more bearable. Although I get really sick to my stomach after taking it(it feels like morning sickness would I suppose).
