worried about side effects read bad reports on web, anyone got any good info for me greatly appreciated.
Working / Worked
Treatment appears to be working although waiting for a follow up MRI to make sure the tumour is shrinking. My prolactin levels are nearly normal considering they were so high. (over 5000 when they should be 600). I also have an underactive thyroid which they've given me meds for.

My endo put me onto dostinex 1 year ago. She said take 1 a week, within 6mths you will become pregnant. I didn't believe her as I have had Endometriosis for 10yrs also. But who new it!! She was right & I am now 5mths pregnant with my 1st Miracle Child!!!
Working / Worked
it worked. No side effects. But when my Endocrinologist ordered an echocardiogram, the results showed minor valve regergitation on two of my heart valves. So I discontinued treatment and within a year or two my prolactin level was abnormal. My doctor just prescribed me Dostinex, but he hopes that by taking it once every two weeks instead of twice a week, it will be better.
Working / Worked
Microprolactinoma diagnosed. Taking Dostinex for over 2 years no side effects and it works.
Working / Worked
Tolerated Dostinex well. prolactin levels returned to normal within 6 months.

Breast discharge stopped, lost weight after struggling with abnormal weight gain. Side effects so far are fatigue and sleepiness. Got my second MRI results the doctor cannot find any tumor and my pituitary appears normal......PRAISE GOD!!

Returned PRL to normal but levels seem to be slowly rising. Feel awful between doses. May need to increase dose. Looking for alternatives.
