I went for 3 years without gambling at all.

i have tried to stay away, and will keep trying, not much success as of yet

It was a very embarrassing and humbling experience to stand in front of strangers, have them take my mug shot, fingerprints and admit that I had a problem. When it came to gambling I did not know when to walk away or say 'no more'. Self-exclusion gave me the extra boost I needed to stay focused on quitting and start working on the underlying issues.

It really does not work, I just go further to a place where I am not excluded.

I just make my husband control checkbooks, money,etc and do not want to put myself in the environment. Do not want to take a risk.

Stayed away for 6 weeks and it worked well. But then I won a jackpot with only 5 bucks & got stuck even more on them. I can stay away if I don't have any money but as soon as payday hits I start playing again.

Banned myself for 5 years to begin with, but ban is up now. Staying away is working right now.

I'm trying but it is so tempting. Every store has scratch tickets!

I have decided that the only way I can walk away a winner is to not walk in!
