Works if I stick to it.

Works most the time
When I first got diagnosed, I used the Specific Carb Diet as a starting point for testing my reaction to certain products. In the end, what seems to give trigger my symptoms most are products inclusive of corn, corn starch, corn syrup. Popcorn is a no-no that sometimes in remission is still worth the punishment! :)

I am on a 15 carb point diet. (4 per meal, 3 for snacks.) Also cutting down my caloric intake to lose weight.

I'm keeping my carb intake down, but about once a week my weakness for carbs takes over and I consume more than I should.

Helped a lot. Was difficult to adjust to at first but really has helped me get better. Started with an elimination diet to see what bothered my bladder which turned out to be a lot of things then as my bladder started to have a break from irritating foods it healed somewhat and now I can integrate some of those foods back into my diet. For me things that bother it the most where caffeine yeast vinegar citrus stuff and milk products. Oh and also certain grains like oatmeal was bad.

In August of 2011 I quit smoking and went on a completely gluten free diet after years of reading and research not to mention grief and despair! I immediately had significant improvement not only with my HS but with many other conditions. My chronic eczema completely cleared almost immediately. My chronic yeast infections stopped and I havent had one since. My HS did not clear entirely however until I also went dairy free and now I am lesion free and HEALING first time in 14 years!
