I was on Dexamethasone orally for awhile but it made my skin thin out and tear easily so the docs put me back on hydro cortisone. I think I was better on the dex but the skin thing freeked me out. I would just bump something and my skin would tear and leave a scar.
Working / Worked
I am on 20 mg of hydrocortisone 15 mg at 8.00am and then 5 mg at 5.00 pm. Seem to be doing okay on this, was on prednisone but endo wanted me off this.
Working / Worked
Just started taking so still unsure about them but feel ok.

Too horror of a story to tell I almost died before diagnosis, went to a size 3 I', 5'7'' spent tons on holistic help because Dr.s and er kept ignoring me. , to no avail but saved my life I was infested with parasites, bacteria everything it was horrible, then 2 nights in a row I had a crisis and my husband left me to die. I am single now, with addison's, fibro, severe degenerative disk, asthma, & now just survived Pulminary embolism bilateral.
Working / Worked
Over the years I've taken: cortisone acetate, hydrocortisone, prednisone, a combination of prednisone and hydrocortisone. I'm currently on hydrocortisone, since it seems to be the best for me. I currently take 40 mg. daily.
Working / Worked
I was diagnosed with Addison's November 2010. So far treatment is working, but my body has been going through a lot of changes that I'm not used to
Working / Worked
Used to take cortef 5 times a day. 2 years ago switched to once a day Dexamethasone. Some weight gain due to miscalculated dose but helped create more freedom.
Working / Worked
Helps sometimes.
Working / Worked
Working great! Have felt healthier than ever since I began the medication. Have been on the same dose of 25mg/day since diagnosis with no issues.
Working / Worked
It works for me, I take 20 mg.
