Personally, it was the worst thing I've ever been through. I'd rather have a root canal. That's just me- maybe it's not as bad for others.....? I've had the procedure done twice, once in 2004 and again in 2007. I'm hoping to never have to undergo it again, but I'm sure I'll have to sometime in the future. HPV was next to unheard of when I was diagnosed and I get sick every time I see an "I want to be one less" commercial. Let's keep our chins up ladies... we can beat this!

It was a little more uncomfortable than a regular pap smear mostly because it took longer and i did have some cramping during and afterwards.
