I have had two colposcopies, once when I was 20 and again when I was 27. The worst part for me was the vinager spray (this caused burning for me). The last one I had was a colposcopy with a cone biopsy, which then led to a LEEP procedure. I got to watch the first one but the second one I was just told all the way through what was going on.

I was told it was probably nothing and if it was something that they would probably watch it. There were three lesions of dysplaysia on my cervix they had to biopsy. Got the results back from the biopsy two wks later and was told it was CIN II and needed a LEEP procedure. It was scheduled for two wks later also 4/16/09.

Was treated with LEEP operation under GA in June 2008. Colposcopy is good for diagnosing CIN. It was just like having a Pap smear but a camera looks at your cervix.

The colposcopy for me was painless and it showed the lesions on my cervix thank goodness for colposcopys!!!
