works sometimes

Works if it is not overused. I tend to use it as a last resort.

I don't call it timeout. I just tell my son he needs to relax. I correct the behavior by talking to him. Once we have the point across and he understand what he did wrong. I have him relax in his room to think about it.

most of the time children are ok with it but sometimes they want to test you ,so alot of fits such as kicking ,punching ect.... i keep my cool and don't let them win. eventually they calm down and time out is a breeze.
