Child Time-out Reviews

Show: for
works sometimes but not always.
not working she has holes in her walls
Sometimes hard to get him to go and then hard to get him to stay
gives them time 2 think, minutes must not exceed age
Consistency, Consistency, Consistency.....not always easy, even hard at times, but always has a positive outcome.
some days works some days doesn't even phase him
Magic 1-2-3 worked for a while but she is so smart that she keeps trying to get her way. She will rebel more against this kind of treatment. Praising her worked better.
This is the most brilliant thing ever! Do you have a child that goes over the deep end when you try to impose time out?
Here is a great strategy. You know the big red "EASY button" that Staples Office Supplies has? Use it. Make time out an
opportunity for "recovering control" not as punishment. Encourage your child to ask for his "recovery" break by pressing the easy button anytime he is overwhelmed or unable to cope. Give choice between "easy" or consequence other than time out.
always good, even if its just so you can take a breath
We start with this first 1 minute for each year of age
