Common known side effects
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

- Blood in the urine- chest pain or discomfort- cough or hoarseness- fever or chills- increased cough- lower back or side pain- painful or difficult urination- shortness of breath- swelling of feet or lower legsLess common
- Abdominal pain- black, tarry stools- bloody vomit- enlarged gums- irregular heartbeat- joint pain- muscle aches or pain- pinpoint red spots on the skin- red, inflamed, bleeding gums- sores inside mouth- trembling or shaking of hands or feet- unusual bleeding or bruising- white patches on the mouth, tongue, or throatIncidence not known
- Abdominal distention- blue lips, fingernails, or skin- chronic or occasional diarrhea- confusion- coughing or spitting up blood- difficult or troubled breathing- drowsiness- general feeling of illness or nausea- heart murmur- irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing- night sweats- severe headache- sore throat- stiff neck and/or back- stools that float, are foul smelling or "fatty"- sudden high fever or low-grade fever for months- unusual tirednessSome side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.
