Just diagnosed in March by hand surgeon who did my ct surgery over two yrs ago. Put me on Celebrex 200mg once daily. It seems to help with most of the pain and the swelling is almost gone. Going to follow up with my prim. care dr in July and see what he recommends. This whole arthritis thing is a bit scary to me as I dont know what to expect as far as will it progress and if so what treatments are available etc...

Went to the doctor for the first time 2 weeks ago and started on Celebrex. It has helped tremendously with the pain I am on 200mg 2x a day. Doesn't work all day, but maybe I am overdueing it. Still work full time and have 1 grandbaby alot. The only side effect I have had is stomach pains (if I don't eat when I take it) and 3x I have had some wavy vision thing in one eye but that could be from the Hydroxychloroquine that I am also taking

I take it when the Dr. can give me samples.The best thing I noticed was taking it at bedtime helped me sleep better and awake with less pain.

This med worked for about 2 years and then the Insurance Company decided it needed to be precerted. Now with other meds Im taking I cannot take Celebrex anyway.
