I was never really sure if the carboplatin was effective or whether the operation would have been enough on it's own. I felt sick and increasingly more tired with each dose and needed three pints of white cells towards the end of the course. Food passed straight through me. Fingers went numb and the joints would lock. My eye sight deteriorated. My ears kept ringing. These symptoms have since disappeared. I was free of cancer for six years. Have started 2nd chemo Carboplatin/Paclitaxel
