Worked. Had this and Taxotere, q.v.; Benedryl, red-blood-cell enhancer (can't recall the name); Lovenox for blood clot in leg, for 6 mo., Decatron before and after each chemo session.

Working / Worked
I was too sick to have anything but carboplatin. I needed blood transfusions after my fourth treatment. My surgical incision was infected and didn't completely close until after all chemo was completed. I also had an intestinal infection called C-Diff (pretty bad stuff); this, too, was worsened by the chemo. Things are fine now. Update: August 2009 CT found two small lesions so more chemo. Currently taking Carbo/Taxol
Working / Worked
The worst was how it affected me mentally. I could take all the physical stuff, but the depression, chemo brain, foginess, wild mood swings really had me wishing I would die, but I was to depressed to attempt.. Chemo stopped and it went away overnight.
