Appears to be working, missed one nausea pill on second treatment, will not miss another one. Was sick for days, couldn't move without feeling like I was going to throw up. The metallic taste in my mouth wasn't pleasant nor did anything I drank taste good.

With my reoccurrence in March 2012, my Dr, started me on Carboplatin. I received 6 rounds of it. My CA 125 is 138. Still got a ways to go with two additional rounds planned. My first 2 rounds here I had Carboplatin alone, rounds 3-6 the Dr. added Cytotoxan.

So far, the Carboplatin is working. I haven't had too many side effects except for constipation and extreme exhaustion.

In 2007 Carboplatin was the primary chemotherapy treatment along with Taxol. They considered this cancer 'cured' as a result of surgery along with adjunct chemotherapy. In 2012 I was dx with a new type of lung cancer, and treatment is completed 6/24/2012. It is too soon to tell if it was successful.

I was recovering from a massive surgery when I went on chemo. I did ok. Lost my hair and was tired all the time.

Used in first 4-5 chemo treatments. On maintenance now, so guess it worked. Started gaining weight back as soon as this was stopped.

CA125 came down from 304 to 22 quickly. No bad side effects from chemo but extreme fatigue and neuropathy. Awaiting first 90 day checkup.

On my 4th round of chemotherapy.....5 more to go! Ca 125 was 1700 in Feb. 2011, before surgery....currently 43!
