When I can't breathe I do "pursed lip breathing" it's a good technique where you breath in and count to 5 - purse your lips and breath out and count to ten.

Deep, mindful breathing slows my heart rate down.

Inhaling through the nose, pausing and exhaling through the mouth can slow down your heart rate and calm you instantly. As soon as my body gives me any trigger signs (heavy limbs or dizziness) that might suggest anxiety, I begin to practice deep breathing.
