My 29 year old daughter had her first injections on a Monday in March. It wasn't too bad. She went to the physical therapist right afterwards so he could stretch her and move the Botox around in her legs. The treatment has been helping. However, she was very weak the first weekend after the injections in both legs and feet. I went to visit her to take care of her, clean and cook so she would have food that weekend and during the week. The Botox started wearing off a few weeks ago, so she started to get a bit anxious even though she knew a little tightness might start when that happened.

She had more Botox last Wednesday in only one leg, the tightest one. She did a little better this time as far as energy level is concerned although she is vey tired. She took more time off from work this time after the injections to rest before she became too exhausted. I am sure that helped.

Anyway, we are sure this combination of the Botox along with therapy is worth it even if it takes a lot of time out of each week.

The theory of her doctor and therapist is that the therapy builds the opposing muscles and then she won't need anymore botox, because she will be building new pathways to her brain. At first we thought she would only need two sets of injections, but it will now take four sets of injections over the course of one year.
