Feel better after transfusions. Need to know what is "normal" . Sometimes get transfused every two weeks, sometimes 2 months. Last week, the normal 2 units only brought hemoglobin up to 8.4 so had to get 2 more units. Is it unusual to get 4 units at a time?

Took Revlimid since diagnosis October 2006 with no problems...this July hemoglobin dropped to 6.7 after 4 units of cells it went up to 13 and now Hemoglobin is 8.9
