I self-instill. I have done it 5 times ove tha past 3 1/2 months. With each treatment I get longer periods of relief: days and nights with almost no evidence that I have IC, after a few years of incapacitating pain. Doing it myself is a little messy and there seems to be some slight odor, but the effectiveness is so significant that it far outwieghs the costs.

Works well to control symptoms. Have been receiving treatments for many years and it still works well. Procedure is still very unpleasant, but over quick. It often feels like I have a UTI for 20 min after I urinate out the medicine. I have gotten 5-6 UTI's that I would associate with a treatment in 10 years of monthly instillation. Some family/friends have noticed I have a mild garlic odor the day of or after the treatment :-)

The bladder instillations I get are actually Uracyst instillations and they keep me going, seriously. They decrease my pain significantly, and also reduce my symptoms.

Actualaly decided to stop before the DMSO was afraid of side effects. Was on Heparin. Only worked one day post. Not sure what will do next.

Did not work, made matters worse. Mine was a RIMSO instill.

I had a serious of one bladder installation a week for 9 weeks. After that my doctor taught me to give them to myself. I buy kits of shots and use them whenever I need them.

Worked for quite a while. Couldn't stand that I sweat it out and smelled funny. It's actually a funny story... :)
