It is administered by sub-cutaneous injection and has been shown to slow the advance of the affliction as well as reduce the frequency of attacks. Started on the BEYOND study with Beta. I was getting a double dose and for three years I wanted to not be in this body.The side effects were terrible. When the study ended and went to single dose my life almost returned to normal.

I believe Dr Kraft/UW and this drug saved my life! I hate taking the shots, but will! Once taking it my mobility increased, I progressed from ,"near critical" to enjoying some semblence of life again. I will never volunteerly quit. If you have MS and are not trying one of these drugs you are probably making the greatest mistake of your life. Taking an interferon does worry me but not as much as being in a position where, if not for my family, I would no longer wish to live. I have been there!
