A behaviorist came to our home, listened to our concerns, observed the behavior, created a treatment plan, and helped up implement it. We set up a progress chart and did what he asked us to do. With consistency and support, it really helped!

he has a set shedule and if he does things that some kids would do like a tempertantrum then he given a time out but if it is an autisum thing like jumpping then it is ignored. Took a lot of time but it is working fir us.

Being constantly,24-7, aware of consistency. Easing my child through learning what is appropriate and what is not acceptable. Starting with the first lesson of eye contact and hugs are not rough all the way to if you act like that you'll never have a date.So far so good. Side effects? I'm really really tired.

To many strategies to list. This catagory can link with most of other interventions listed. This i would say is most important. Children can only become open to learning when the unwanted behaviours are reduced.

The more structured my programs are the greater success I have had. A clear schedule and rules that are easy to understand have been major keys to our successful programs. Unstructured programs have almost always led to some kind of problem. My son has been so successful, I believe, because his mother and myself have had so many years of experience even before he was born.
