I'm still learning what foods I can eat, and when I eat something that hurts me, I drink a small amount of baking soda with water and it calms it down. I can't do this often however, because I have to watch my sodium intake. (it will make you retain water/swell)

It surely does help when I am having a bad flare. I hate to drink it, I feel it is unhealthy but with desperation I choose to drink it atleast 1 per week when I flare.

Used to use when in my 20s/30s when I had no idea what reflux was and just thought I had very bad indigestion! Worked temporarily.
