Has worked really well as part of my anti-rejection tabs but my Dr is slowly reducing the dose as he says it can cause skin problems later on. Am currently down to 50mg.

Definitely works. 50 mgsX3, helped put him back in remission. Don't know why, but non-generic version (Imuran) seems to work better.

Started taking it with prednisone. Been taking it for a couple of years. Doctors feel it is working for me.

I was on this by along with a few other pills for a pile, and it did not work. Then I was on this in combination with Remicade infusions, and that worked very well. Eventually they dropped the azathioprine and just left me on the remicade.
