Working / Worked
Since my initial full on exacerbation when I started avonex, I haven't had another exacerbation
Working / Worked
It's seems as those I am immune to the Avonex. I 've had a number of relapses.
I take my injections every Friday and am usually sick with flu-like symptoms. The good news is, overall, it works. Ive struggled with injection anxiety but once you get a pattern goin, its really worth the trouble. AND, i havent suffered with any serious episode since i began this therapy. Some symptoms still remain, and the shots are painful too, i cant lie.
Working / Worked
I am currently using avonex powered form (11 years) and feel it is working. I cannot use the pre-mixed form, it makes me deathly ill. Side effects from the powered avonex are minimal.
Working / Worked
Avonex worked pretty well for me. However, I would still have flar-ups and fatigue was a constant issue. I only had side effects when I first started taking the Avonex and it included chills and emotional swings. But, tylenol took care of the side effects.
Working / Worked
this didnt work at all I think I was alergic to it

HATED THE LONG NEEDLE I still have scars on my legs ('deep bruises") 3 years later Obviously permanent scars
Working / Worked
It is like the flu every Tues (injections are Mon night) but seems to be working well.
Working / Worked
still working according to my last MRI. Side effects of nausea were short lived and disappeared within 3 months.
Working / Worked
As far as I know, it's working. I still get flu like chills and a killer headache but it's all been managable.
