Rosiglitazone is an anti-diabetic drug from the thiazolidinedione class. It is being marketed as Avandia by the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, both as a standalone preparation and in combination with metformin (Avandamet). This is a really good medication. The only downfall is the fact that it is SO flipping expensive! I would have loved to stay on it but with my insurance being an HRA and sucking as it does.. there's no way I could afford it.
