When I was first diagnosed with UC in 2006, I started taking Asacol (2 pills, 3 times per day) and they seemed to start working right away. However, it is now March of 2009 and I am having a flare up. My GI advised me to take 4 pills 3 times a day instead, but so far I am not noticing any improvements =[
