still having meds seems to work as it has not grown any since having pamidronate but pain is still the same.

Flu like symptoms the first 2 times then no issues.
Taking it monthly

Worked, but stopped because of fear of osteonecrosis. Have now resumed due to bone crumbling, but only once every three months,

The only treatment I have is Aredia every 2 months with, fortunately, no side effects.

I have NO bone involement

used in place of zometa for bone pain.

Rec'vg monthly with some neg but manageable SE.

my daughter as only had 1 lot done she has 2 have it every 3 months

1st yr did monthly infusions
2nd yr infusions every 3 months

Pamidronate didnt work. May be going on Alendronate. Had about 17 breaks in youth including pelvis and ribs. Mostly wrists from falls. My son is 13. Has had only a few breaks although they did require surgery because he had Pamidronate from 3 years old to 8 years old and is back on it now. It works well for him. I was the first in my family to be diagnosed. Since then Dad one brother Dads Sister have all been diagnosed. Dads mum had Osteoporosis and his dad had Pagets disease.
