Im not sure. It used to work well years ago then I think my body became used to it and it no longer worked. The Dr has me take it and xanax at night but one without the other doesnt work but I think my tolerance has become to high. Although when I did only take the Ambien it worked well with no SE and 4 or 5 hrs hard core sleep and I would wake up refreshed not groggy.

although it does work, it leaves me with amnisia which is pretty scary.

The best thing I've ever tried for sleep, and I've tried alot. It has been very helpful so far.

Ambien cr is a medication from hell, i recently swithed to ambien, and have had less side effects, however i am currently try to ween myself off .
my side effect included memorey loss, paranoia,severe agitation,anger,black outs..

A must for sleep.

It works great for me.

I took this for about 7 weeks during this last episode of insomnia I had. I didn't sleep great with it, but it did get me enough hours of sleep each night to function.

I take this mostly for insomnia but I know it is also what helps me sleep in spite of the pain
