I just started with Amaryl about a month ago. Numbers still weren't where I wanted them so doc upped me to 1mg twice a day. I should be able to tell if it's working in a week or so. So far, no side effects except a little gas.

Just started, am using with Byetta
Too Soon To Tell
I am not sure why my Doctor put me on Glimepiride ( reduced from 2 mgs to 1 mg daily). It lowers my blood sugar between 45-75 a few hours after breakfast. I have told her I do not want to eat to 'support' the medicine, the medicine should be supporting me. Now, I feel I should probably ask her to stop Glimepiride totally.
