While the allergy shots helped my inhalable allergies (grass, pollen, mold), they did not have an effect on my food allergies.

I had shots for about 7 years in my mid twenties. That helped me not to have symptoms during the winter months (my less severe months anyway). I just turned 40, and started shots again last fall. Dr says I will probably be on them several years again this time.
