They are extremely helpful and supportive. We are fairly new to it. My younger son will soon begin Alateen
I am understanding how enabling has hurt my husband in his recovery. I have a strong connection with my Higher Power and I am learning to turn my life and will over to his care.

I love Al Anon - I have just got myself a sponsor who is kind and caring and listens without judgement.
just joined and so far love it
Already I feel more comfortable in this online support group than I did at Al-Anon, my life is crazy enough dealing with everything as it is so rushing from work to get to a meeting just added to my stress. I do feel that alanon is great for MANY people. Just not for me.

I'm also a Al-Anon person.
Al-Anon was a life line for me in the 80s and after! I learned about alcoholism, my part in it, tools for healthy living even if someone else is not living that way. Met lots of good people who understood my pain. I have gone to meetings off and on since, and will always use the knowledge I learned.
