Doxorubicin or adriamycin or hydroxyldaunorubicin is a DNA-interacting drug widely used in chemotherapy. It is an anthracycline and structurely closely related to daunomycin, and also intercalates DNA. its softing my tumor and making me forget and cry alot

So far, I am cancer free.I experienced horrible side effects such as vomiting,nausea,mouth ulcers,diarrea and of course hair loss.I have permanent side effects as well.This drug combined with Herceptin damaged my heart and my teeth are crumbling.

Combination of Adriamycin and Cytoxin. Usual side effects. Right after my first treatment I fell and broke my leg so I got to be not only a fat bald chick, but a fat bald chick on crutches with a cast! That kind of put to rest any chance of flying under the radar. :)

Heart damage which, thankfully, was pretty much reversible. I got very sick; the anti-nausea drugs didn'w help much. The little relief that I did get came about with eating small frequent meals, taking Compazine suppository, and 1/2 mg. Ativan. I had the other usual complications -- ulcers, shingles, anemia, etc.
