It saved me! Mid-way through my treatments my PET scan showed decreased activity. While my overall level of energy dimished throughtout my treatments, I was able to continue work and exercise at a modified capacity.I'm pretty bald to begin with so losing my hair wasn't too much of a problem. just started treatment. side effects within the first week. numbness in finger tips. short term mouth felt swollen and metaly. Not sick yet. Getting hair loss already

My daughter had ABVD treatment for 8 months, except they eliminated one (not sure which) due to breathing problems.

so far i have just had two treatments and its been ok. i had strong side effects like mouth sores and aches. i have just been feeling very tired. with ABVD the worst side effect so far has just been the hair loss and arm pains in the injection area.

4 cycles (8 treatments) given every other Friday for 4 months.

After my fourth treatment I had a PET SCAN which showed everything was gone. I found a study that indicated if you responded so well so fast the reoccurance rate was only 5%. See my blog for study website.

My tumor was the size of a grapefruit and a half. On the mediastynum. At the halfway point, there was about 60% shrinkage. All the usual side effects (hair loss-but not until 3 months in), tired, achy... my toenails are just now starting to detach. Had thrush about a quarter of the way in.

I have had different side effects after each treatment, severe nausea, pain, vomiting. I also lose sense of taste for about a week after treatment. I have had 4 treatments so far.

Had first 2 doses (1 round). I hate all of the side affects and was hoping I could learn some tricks to help get through them here.

ABVD did not get rid of all of my cancerous nodes. I lost my hair after 1 cycle. I was tired the first week following chemo but overall had decent energy and appetite. I ate a fairly strict diet and took supplements which I'm sure helped me weather the chemo.
