my mother died 2 weeks into treatment

Basically the only side affects my twin has had so far is hair thinning and a little sick feeling to the stomach a couple days after thgey take the fanny pack off.

took longer than expected. I thought it was attacking normal skin too.

5-FU unfortunately did not work for my husband. This allowed the cancer to spread to his liver.
Side effects included fatigue, peripheral neuropathy in hands and feet, constipation and/or diahrrea, loss of appetite.

We are not sure if this drug is helping as of yet. To date, cancer has not grown, but has not shrunk either.

We switched to this when the Gemzar stopped working. I think it might have helped a litte by prolonging moms life for a couple more months-but who knows.

very hard on her shebecame anarexic and very tired with vomiting reduced dosage and a steriod helped but with a break for an adhesion surgery and other stoppages possibly explains the return of the cancer
