For the 4 year old, this works very well, although he is showing signs of resisting it now.

It works with my daughter because she will usually hop right on whatever I ask when I start counting. My son on the other hand is a bit less cooperative.

It works wonders...I use it with every child who comes into my home...It's also very similar to the methods they use in schools so if you have a school aged child this can greatly improve their school behavior and it prepares younger children for proper behavior in school

They'll normally listen and other times they'll finish counting.

I have to slow down before I get to three sometimes. and occasionally he wants to test that..
