Close Osteogenesis Imperfecta

I am the mother of a 26 yr. old son who was diagnosed with dentinogenesis imperfecta as an infant. He was treated at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago by Dr. R. Cooley. As an adult he need major dental work to sustain his bite and the ability to chew his food. He was evaluated last week by both an endodontist and a protodontist who said the cost would be $65,000. I am wondering if anyone has had luck with getting their medical insurance to help with the cost. Steps involved?
