Dh got home last night and he had 2 boar! they are at the butcher as we speak, but we will have them soon! They estimated that there will be about 200lbs of meat there! ok, so, that's 3 deer and 2 boar in the freezer!
Guess what??
I'M GETTING A NEW FREEZER!!!! :-)
Too cool! I didn't expect that! but my wonderful Bil talked my DH into getting us a larger one for the meat so my wonderful Bil can have the smaller one for the hides and heads, when they need to store them before taking them to their buddy to have them tanned/mounted!
This works for me! I won't have the hides and heads in my freezer anymore!! I really can't complain, they get to enjoy themselves doing their thing, but I get stuff from it too! ;-)
If Anyone has any favorite pork recipes let me know! I'm gonna need them!!
