Tragedy,
When the fires come,
And you can’t go on,
It’s tragedy,
When the morning dawns,
And there’s nothing left,
It’s hard to bear,
With no-one around you,
You’re goin’ nowhere,
Tragedy,
When you lose control,
And you feel no cool,
It’s tragedy,
When your house burns down,
And your loved one’s lost,
It’s hard to bear,
With no-one beside you,
You’re goin’ nowhere.
Saturday was the worst day here,
it reached 47.9 Celsius, { 118.2 Fahrenheit,}
and did not bring us cheer,
we are all safe,
but my heart breaks in two,
for all those lives lost,
and the pets and livestock too,
my friends at work,
have lost family and friends,
and they have husbands and brother-in laws,
fighting the blaze,
the sky is just one black misty haze,
131 lives lost,
Over 700 houses burned to the ground,
We really need the weather to turn around,
And bring some relief from this radiant heat,
The fire and wind just can’t be beat,
There’s 31 fires burning out of control
a third of our state,
Already burnt I’m told,
Please could you send your good wishes,
Love, prayers,
And whatever you know how,
Because the people of Victoria,
Really need you now.

My heart goes out to them all..........such devastation, so tragic..... :_(
We lost everything in Ash Wednesdays fires....so much grief and death.......this time the fires are catastrophic..............i am so sorry for everyone who is going through this right now.
