- Viral load was 3,600,000 at treatment start. 0 at four weeks. Discontinued tx at 18 weeks after contracting pneumonia with severe complications.

Close Head and Neck cancers
Type: ThroatFollowing a biopsy of a lump on the left side of my neck, I was diagnosed with throat cancer that originated in the left tonsil. Had a disection and tonsilectomy in April 1997. left tonsil, and three lymph nodes were positive for malignancies. Follow-up with seven weeks of radiation treatments of both sides and my upper chest. Declared cured in 2002 after five years. Still cancer free at last check-up. Dry mouth due to only one functional saliva gland.
Treatments
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- was miserable for about six months during and after treatments. Worst sore throat I ever had.
- Surgery Working / Worked
- looked like Frankenstein monster afyer neck disection. Scar is very hard to see now but I am much thinner on the left side of my neck.
