I pray I won't end up a grouchy old lady,

Recountng each ache and each pain

In intricate detail, to all who will listen,

While hoping some pity to gain.

I pray I"ll stay kind and be helpful to others,

While striving to put their needs first;

And that I will share the sweet story of Jesus

With all who now hunger and thirst.

I pray that as years take their measure upon me

And I grow more feeble each day,

I won't be a burden to family and love ones;

But will bless those who happen my way.

I pray I'll not lose my keen sense of adventure,

The wonder each dawning will bring,

But that I'll find something in each day to

treasure;

A joy that can make my heart sing.

I pray I'll stay focused on things pure and lovely,

Instead of the dark side of life,

And that I'll be filled with the fruit of the Spirit;

The answer to heartache and strife.

I pray that my world will be just a bit better

Because of the life that I live.

Then, I'll be content, when God calls me to Glory,

To know I gave all I could give.

I thought this poem was so beautiful I felt I needed to share it with all my wonderful DS friends.

Got the results of my MRI first thing this morning. I will have to have surgery to relieve the pain from the nerves in my neck which is L 4&5 L5&6  and L 6&7  which are being pinched together. So I see the surgeon on Aug 6.  That is why I have so much pain in my arm and hand.

Tomorrow is my Yard Sale day I hope I find some nice stuff. Well you all have a great and warm week-end. We haven't heard back on the house we want so badly. So keep us n your prayers.  just realized if we break the lease here it will cost me over a $1000 I just can't seem to win. I will leave it in God's hands as to what he wants us to do.  Look for the best you can in every day. Help some one else if you can. Big Hugs ~~~~~~~~~~~~Suzanne
