About Me
I am 42 yrs old, married for 16yr with a wonderful 14yr old son. We live on acreage in FL and own 4 horses, 4 dogs, a cat and rabbit. My hobby is riding horses and hubby/son enjoy riding horses and sports. I was recently diagnosed with Auto Immune Thyroiditis (Hashimoto's). I am currently trying to get my medication dose correct so I will not suffer from so many difficult symptoms. I had been a computer network engineer for 10 yrs, but have not worked for 3 yrs due to the thyroid disease.

Interests
I am passionate about horses and the whole family rides. We have 4 horses of various ages, disciplines, breeds. We have a small 2 acre farm with lots of animals, rabbit, 3 dogs, cat and of course the herd of horses. My son is 14 yrs old 9th grade. My husband and son like to show in cow events and I ride a Rocky Mountain gaited horse and enjoy trail riding. I am excited to learn from this forum and be involved with others who are experiencing similar challenges.

I am 43 yrs old, married to a wonderful man for 14 yrs. Our son is 12 yrs old (going on 40) in the 7th grade. I was told I couldn't have children, so he is a miracle. Health complications mean definately no more, so we really enjoy and appreciate having him in our lives.

I have been up an down with my weight my whole life. Now 43yrs old with a wonderful 12yr old son and have lost 50 lbs trying to ensure I have as much time to be with him as I can. I have much more to loose, but I will not give up. The Dr. said each pound adds more years to my life.

- Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
- Eatting less/healthier helped me loose faster and have more energy.
- Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
- I have 5 horses so I feed/clean barn/ride etc. but that is not consistent aerobic exercise. Need to up the intensity of my workouts.
- Eat Less Working / Worked
- Definately working, but really hard to change my habits and get used to eatting less quantity of what I really like!
- Slim-Fast Not Working
- Gave me gastrointestinal problems and hard to fit into my daily routine.
- South Beach Diet Somewhat Helpful
- I have PCOS and needed to cut carbs drastically, South Beach was too drastic and I couldn't stay with it.
- Weight Watchers Working / Worked
- 20 yrs ago I lost 75 lbs and became a Life Time member, definately works!
- Phentermine Working / Worked
- Currently lost 50 lbs and still going!

After 15yrs of marriage my husand and I are divorcing. We have a 13 yr old son and are focused on his well being threw this process.

I have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto's and am trying desperately to get the medication correct so I can have some relief from a ton of symptoms.

- Armour Thyroid Somewhat Helpful
- I did not do well on Synthroid and switched to Armour. I am taking 3.5 grains and am still experiencing hypothyroid symptoms.

I was just diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and am very hypothyroid.

- Armour Thyroid Working / Worked
- Was working in the beginning but not working the last few months.
- Cytomel Working / Worked
- I just started adding Cytomel to Armour and am doing very well. Next month Dr is willing to try straight Cytomel if I am unable to obtain a refill for Armour.
- Synthroid Not Working
- Did not work at all, made me feel worse!
