Day 2 on Chantix....I signed up for their support group as well where they will track my progress. They said it doesn't kick in until the 8th day …
I'm 34, single (newly so) female. I've never been married, no kids. I am in the process of ending a 5 year relationship, moving to my own place, trying to quit smoking (Dr.'s orders) and feeling a little lonely. Not sure where I want to go or what I want to do. I lost my Mom about 4 years ago and just looking for various communities to join for support.

Cooking (I'm a foodie), reading, yoga, shooting pool, watching silly reality tv and news shows, hanging with friends, surfing the web, playing board/computer and card games, antique shopping, traveling.

Just wanted to wish you a merry Christmas. Its December 24Th at 8:52 am Virginia
Hey, you were the first person that ever sent me a message! I have been smoke free for 27 days now, so thanks for befriending a newbie-you were instrumental in my quit- THANK YOU!!!
Stay on track, thanks for the hug
just wondering how you are doing with the Chandix (7 Days now...) WAY TO GO
You can do this. Remember that we are all here for you.
I'm 34 and have been smoking since I was about 13-14 (WAY too young). I have bad acid reflux and just been diagnosed with LRP (stomach acid in my throat) which is causing a constant feeling of a lump in my throat which I can't get rid of. I've been wanting to quit smoking but now the Dr. says if I don't I will eventually end up with throat cancer. I'm terrified of getting any type of cancer from smoking and don't want this addiction weighing on my thoughts and self-esteem any longer.
