Thanks for the encouragement, Sarah. I have every confidence that you'll keep on improving. I've been working in some dietary changes, mostly eliminating sugar and/or anything that's high glycemic, so I can come to grips with elevated blood sugar. I may have some insulin issues, however, or perhaps insulin resistance. In any case, I'm still very interested in lactoferrin, once I've got a hold of the other stuff. Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel, when I put so much into getting the best of the beast(s), but I'd never know what the outcome would be if I did that. Take care, and thanks for being there. big hugs, doug

Things are amazingly good here, Sarah. Aside from a few niggly things, I' feel stronger and healthier than I have since before RA. As I was hiking today, I noticed the huge difference between now and when I started back after my surgery. I'm very fortunate and very grateful. I hope you're feeling good, too. hugs, doug

Thanks, Sarah!!! I actually feel liberated now that I have made the decision. I'll stay in touch. I find chatting with someone who understands this disease is very consolling, kind of. Although I trust the Lord, and know He has only good for me, I know I am responsible for doing "foot work" to get to whatever it is He will provide. So, this is a spiritual journey as well as a medical one. Thanks again, and you'll hear from me again. Janice

So you are right - you totally win! Sulfasalazine is the answer, I hope. See my journal for Sept 27/09, and thanks so much. I had the best day in 15 years, maybe more. A long way to go, but a great start.
