Journal Entry for August 18, 2007 Mood
Saturday, August 18, 2007

I am into my third day of the cambridge diet and so far things are going well, I have no hunger or urges which I would normally have three days into a diet.  I also have had no alcohol for three days which again is quite good for me.  I usually drink everyday and that is the reason I have a 41.5 inch waist at the moment, all of the sugar it it has settld on my waist and i have a very wide mid section.  More that anything i want to reduce this part of me as i don't really have a problem with my bum and legs, I am a classic apple shape.  Which happens to be the most unhealthy shape because all the stored fat is closer to my organs.

I will stay on the sole sourse till I am down to 11 stone and then see how I feel about continuing to get to 10.  Once i have lost al i can there is a maintainance programme which should be followed till I maintain at the required weight.

It's my day off today and it's raining so I won't be going far but i'll probably clear out my cupboards and draweres to help keep me busy which i find helps me.

could you maybe explain a little to me about what the cambridge diet is. I've never heard of it and it sounds interesting. I'm glad it is working for you so far. I like to think of every good day as a sucess.

Hi Tasha, the cambridge diet is meal replacements, it's very extreme but from what i've read it gets results very quickly and when you reach your goal weight there is a period of about 6 weeks when you slowly reintroduce low gi foods to ensure you maintain the weight. Like i said it's quite extreme but i'll hopefully only be on the sole sourse(shakes and soups only) for about 3 months. It doesn't sound much when you say it but it's a long time without real food, you do add a small protien meal after 4 weeks for a week then back to sole source. At the moment i feel good and i just hope my determination continues. The theory is that the good quick results keeps you motivated, so we'll see.x
