Not- how did he or she die? But- how did he or she live?

Not- What did he or she gain But- what did he or she give?

These are the units to measure the worth of man Regardless of birth.

Not- what was his or her station? But- had he or she a heart?

And- How did he or she play his god given part?

Was he or she ever ready with a word of cheer to bring back a smile and banish a tear?

Not- What was his or her church? Nor- what was his or her creed But- had he or she befriended those really in need.

Not- what did the sketch in the newspaper say? But- how many were sorry when he or she passed away?
