December 8th was the STOP DUI tree dedication. We went to Sunset Park for a public ceremony and then we had to wander around the park until we found Greg's plaque and tie STOP DUI ribbons on his tree. There were a lot of people there who lost loved ones and friends to drunk driving. It was a sad and emotional experience but also let us spend some quality time together as a family. The kids had fun decorating his tree with ribbons and they rough housed. Some people actually brought christmas decorations to put on their loved ones trees. It was cold but I think this was an important event for me and the kids. It was almost like we HAD to do it, to feel closer to him, to somehow spend some time together commemorating his life as a family. The kids got along so well. That is until we all got back in the car to go home and it was as if I had a cat fight in the car!!!
I can't believe the 9th marked 6 months since the accident. Some things have hit me kinda strange as my counselors said. Kind of felt odd and out of sorts when that happened. Guess that is to be expected.
Hope all is well with all of you and I hope your holidays are filled with lots of Joy and happy memories with each of your families. God bless and have an awesome day!!! Jen
PS: Anyhow, will upload some pics from the dedication soon. As soon as I get a chance!!! LOL!!!

It is a new day, always remember that. It is a day for new beginnings. How special it is to put the ribbons, in memory. I am so glad, you can do this. I know in some way it does help. Take care and have a great day.
