why the hell dont they just cut down the hours that lorry drivers are legally allowed to do???? how many more people have to die before they will do anything about it???
its fuckin ridiculous.. sorry about my language but i just need to rant. it really winds me up.
first little chloe (i babysat her a few times and she was a lovely little girl, she didnt deserved to die and her family didnt deserve to loose her. she was only 10years old) she died because a lorry collided with the families car.
then there was dewi (a very old family friends husband) she was pregnant when he died and had two very young daughters, he died because he lay himself over the youngest daughter and saved her life.. again it was because a lorry collided with their car
then their was the stathams.. 2 young parents, and 4 kids ranging from 8weeks old to 13years old.. young family. all died in that car crash because a lorry collided with their car.
and now poor frankiie just the other day.. he was only in his early 20's.. was chloes uncle\(from first crach i mentioned) two people in the last year from that poor family because.. wait for it... A DAMN LORRY COLLIDED WITH THEIR CAR..!!!! a schoolfriend of mine (not close friends only went to school with her) but shes in hospital. has broken every bone in her body but her head and spine are okaii so its gonna take a long time but she should recover. another seriously injured and poor frankiie didnt survive it.
all these crashes are within the last year on our local motorway... all from my hometown, im sure there is many many more and its all because of the long hours these lorry drivers are doing. it isnt right

here here,i do so agree with you,the lorries are doing longer runs,and they are getting bigger and bigger,i have seen a few accidents where a lorry driver has to scrape his huge lorry round corners and roads that are just not built for it,plus most lorry drivers drive as if they think ,i am bigger than you so i am king of the road,a lot of the time it is the firms giving the drivers a schedule that is impossible to stick to safely ,so they take unneccesary chances,i don't blame you for swearing i feel the same,love and safe hugs,helen.

oh they arnt my losses hun.. not friends juat people i know from my hometown... jut really angers me that good people like this have to die because arrogant idiots refuse to sleep for the sake of a few quid.. hope its bloody worth it beause these families will never get back what theyve lost

I totally agree with you. They come tearing past our house, we have a had a few accidents near here. Also we have had a few animals killed.No-one seems to do anything about it.

we had the same thing when we lived inland near the college and it was a tiny side road!!! my neighbor down the street kept calling the police and even offered the police her driveway to stake them out. she thinks the police are on the take and that is why they don't do anything. who knows. i do know it was a 20 mph zone and they were driving waaaaay faster than that. very scary.
